At the invitation of the Environmental Protection Association, Lykos Balkan Metals, a subsidiary of Lykos Metals Limited, participated in the 4th Regional Conference titled “Investments, New Technologies, and Sustainable Development in Mining.” Through its involvement, Lykos Balkan Metals supported the dialogue on new challenges and opportunities in mining and geology.
Supported by EPS, the conference was held on November 26–27 in Šabac, Serbia, bringing together industry experts, business representatives, and environmental protection advocates to discuss critical topics such as:
- Investments and development prospects in mining and geological exploration
- Application of new technologies in mining and metallurgy
- Environmental protection and sustainable development
- Management of mining waste
The primary aim of the conference was to demonstrate that mining and geology can align with environmental protection through the adoption of innovative solutions that minimize environmental impact. Discussions highlighted advanced technologies that enable the mining and geological industries to operate in compliance with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) standards, fostering sustainability and reducing their footprint on nature.
